Ms Goodchild is correct. His friend gave him 1000/1 odds. If he and Goodchild are right, he's going to get £1,000,000. They also bet
Blossoms relatives. The relatives reasonably bet £100 and £50 (although I think a more reasonable bet could of been nothing for this).
These two outrageous gamblers are just ridiculous. They've been making space bets since Neil Armstrong landed on the moon in '69. They lost that one, as we all know and had to pay out the equivalent of millions of dollars.
Since then the bet changed to whether or not
George Bush would say there are extra terrestrials living with us in the next year.
I know I'm not the only one hoping there's a huge payday today!
